Moorpark & Thousand Oaks Residents – visit Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center on September 15 and Support Habitat for Humanity


 

On Sunday, September 15, the Habitat ReStore will be participating in the Community Clean Up Day at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center.

Please stop by the Habitat for Humanity Bin!  We’re offering coupons and tax-deductible receipts to residents who deliver home furnishing, home improvement items, and building materials  to the Habitat for Humanity Bin.

 

Free Landfill Days

Residents living within the cities of Simi Valley, Moorpark, and Thousand Oaks only can visit the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center during year to drop off extra trash, bulky items, and recycle unwanted items at no charge.

Sunday, September 15th

City of Thousand Oaks Sunday, Sept. 15
Simi Valley Landfill
7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

To encourage recycling efforts and reduce the amount of waste entering the landfill, designated areas and containers will be available to recycle the following items: green waste, metal, paper, cardboard, and construction & demolition debris.

To help minimize delays, Waste Management requests that visitors to the landfill follow these guidelines:

  • Be ready with valid identification to show proof of residency to cashier.
  • All loads must be tarped pursuant to California State Law.
  • All loads are subject to inspection.
  • All commercial vehicles are subject to applicable rates unless prior arrangements have been made.

PLEASE NOTE: Electronic waste (e-waste) and Household Hazardous Waste materials will not be accepted.

Acceptable Materials

The Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center is located at 2801 Madera Road in Simi Valley.
