“Giving back” takes on a whole new meaning at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a discount home improvement center. Whether you're a homeowner, business owner, contractor or builder, it begins when you donate your new or gently used, surplus or salvaged materials to Habitat for Humanity. You can drop off your donation at one of our two ReStore locations, or for larger items, you can schedule a free pick up! All donations are resold at prices far below retail, and you may even receive a tax deduction in return. Everyone benefits!

When dropping off a donation, please pull into the loading dock at the back of the building for easy drop-off. We only accept donations when open.

COVID-19: Staff and customer safety is our number one priority. In response to COVID-19 we have changed a few of our procedures to keep everyone safe and healthy. We are following CDC guidelines and Ventura County Social Distancing Protocol. Masks are required to enter and please follow social distancing protocol (6ft). SHOP & DONATE: The ReStore is open to the public so be sure to browse the store so you don't miss a great deal!
Federal Law: As of January 4, 2014, Habitat for Humanity Affiliates cannot (i) install, (ii) sell, or (iii) resell "pipes, pipe fittings, plumbing fittings or fixtures" that are not "lead free." The new definition of "lead free" requires that the product have less than 0.25% lead content based on a new statutory formula that factors the total number of components and the wetted surface area of each component. Products subject to this law include: pipes, fittings, and fixtures that may provide water for human consumption (drinking, teeth brushing, food preparation).
ITEMS WE ACCEPT
Appliances: Clean, in good working condition, less than 5 years old (3 years for dishwashers due to regulatory restrictions). We only accept dishwashers with stainless steel tubs.Exceptions may be made for older refrigerators depending on condition. Commercial/oversized refrigerators not accepted.
Bathtubs: Clean, rust-free, no damage, white or ivory only. No jetted tubs.
Blinds & Shutters: Clean (like new) in good working order.
Bricks/Cinderblock: Dirt- and mortar-free, no cracked or broken pieces, palletized on a flat, hard surface. Drop off only.
Cabinets/Counter Tops: Complete and free of mold, rot or termite damage. Cabinet doors and drawers must be in good/excellent condition. Cabinets must have doors attached and drawers intact. All protruding nails and screws removed.
Carpet: We do not accept cut carpet. Rugs must be clean, without significant wear, and bound on all edges. We accept rugs no larger than 5’x8’. Drop off only.
Drywall: Full or half sheets only with no water marks
Doors (interior & exterior): Very good condition, free of rot, cracks, termite damage. Please remove all hardware. We do not accept hollow core doors.
Electrical/Lighting/Ceiling Fans: Parts, lights, wire and associated hardware in good condition. Wire must be 5 feet or longer. Light fixtures & fans in good working order, clean and rust-free. Table lamps and floor lamps accepted.
Furniture: In good to excellent condition. Upholstered furniture must be free of rips, stains, tears, pet hair and soil. We do not accept furniture that is made predominately with particle board. Entertainment units must accommodate a 42” or larger flat screen TV. Office furniture that is made for commercial use or desks that are larger than a small student-type desk cannot be accepted. We do not accept dining tables without chairs. We are accepting very few china hutches as well, though exceptions may be made. Contact the store for details. Beds must have rails and footboards, all hardware included.
Hardware: Knobs, hinges, nails, screws, nuts, bolts, fasteners, locks. Door, window, cabinet hardware in good condition, free of paint and rust with no missing parts.
Insulation: New and complete packages only.
Lawn & Garden: Lawn furniture and umbrellas clean and ready to sell. Grills in good condition. Garden tools, pots, hose reels, etc.
Lumber/Plywood: Half sheets of plywood and larger. Lumber must be 4 feet in length or longer with no nails or screws.
Mirrors/Glass: Framed mirrors only. Tempered glass tabletops.
Plumbing: In clean and usable condition. Faucets and metal pipes must comply with the Lead Safety in Drinking Water Act of 2014.
Roofing: New shingles only in quantity, palletized. C- or S-shaped clay tiles. Drop off only.
Shower Doors: New in original packaging only.
Tile: Vinyl, ceramic, slate and porcelain in quantities large enough to complete a full room, preferably boxed. No VCT (asbestos-based tile). Drop-off only.
Toilets: Low flow (1.6 gallons or less per flush), white or ivory, clean and rust-free.
Tools: In good working condition.
Water Heaters: New only.
Windows: Double pane, in good condition with no rot or cracks. Single pane windows that are suitable for display or art projects can be accepted at store manager’s discretion.
