Celebrating our Homes | Groundbreakings, Wall Raising and Dedications
Every Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County home begins with a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of our partner family's journey of positive change with Habitat. Once the home has been completed, it is dedicated and presented to the new partner homeowners who purchase the home from Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. This celebration of all the hard work and effort by the family, volunteers and staff to build a new home is very special. Attendees include community partners, sponsors, volunteers, staff and of course, the new homeowners!
Special Events and Fundraisers
We have several events throughout the year to help raise money to build homes for our partner families.
Hearts & Hammers Dinner and Auction is one of our biggest fundraisers and definitely a night to remember. With delicious food from StoneFire Grill and a range of exciting live and silent auction items to bid on - it's an evening that can't be missed!
Cocktails in Havana is another huge fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. Most definitely a fun-filled night - there is no better way to spend a Summer Friday evening!
Get ready for the chance to learn more about what we do in your community. Habitat will be hosting several evening events throughout Ventura County filled with food and informative updates. Stay tuned for an opportunity to check one out near you!
We also have our spectacular Women Build Day coming up in May. Women from all walks of life come together during this special build event to build homes for families and individuals in need of decent, sustainable and affordable housing.
