An Oxnard home with overgrown brush is getting a makeover by dozens of volunteers.
The volume of brush made it impossible for Anna Klemens, 82, to access the backyard from the front yard and caused the wood on the outside of the one-story house to wear away at the structure.
Now, thanks to $5,000 in donations and the work of about 25 Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County volunteers, the property was on its way to being safer, accessible and improved.
