A huge thank you is in order for Marty Milligan and the Christian Church of Thousand Oaks. Their hard work and efforts helped Habitat complete its very first A Brush With Kindness (ABWK) project under the Preserve a Home Program. The group braved 100°+ for two days nonetheless, the work was completed with a modest attitude and beautiful results. A great job was done and it was a wonderful experience for all. We look forward to seeing the Christian Church of Thousand Oaks on another of Habitat jobsite soon.
We would also like to give special thanks to Mr. Lance Kistler for his painting expertise and labor. Mr. Don Majors also deserves praise for his work in restoring the fallen side gate and installing irrigation drip lines at the home’s backyard. An excellent job was done by both.
And last, but certainly not least, a big thank you goes to the Volunteers from Intuit of Thousand Oaks. Thanks to them, the first ABWK home preservation project was brought to completion by placing the finishing touches and performing final clean up.
